Lunch in Brighton at The Salt Room

A wide, twilight shot of the calm blue sea featuring the silhouette of the historic, rusted iron framework of the ruined West Pier in Brighton. The horizon line sits under a pale purple and blue evening sky. In the foreground along the pebble beach, several small boats are lined up, and the dark vertical lines of sailboat masts cut into the right side of the frame.

The Best Spot for Lunch on Brighton Seafront

At The Salt Room, we’ve made lunch the main character, with exceptional seasonal dining and a front-row view of Brighton’s seafront. We specialise in fresh seafood, quality meats, and vibrant vegetarian dishes, all served with a side of sea breeze and unmatched views on one of Brighton’s most sought-after terrace spots. Our fully weatherproof terrace means you can enjoy the coastal air in all weathers, and our stylish indoor space allows you to admire the sea views through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Our lunch menu celebrates the best of the South Coast. Think wild, sustainably sourced fish roasted over coal, sharing platters piled high with shellfish. We work closely with trusted local producers in Sussex to ensure everything on your plate is as fresh and flavourful as it gets.

Whether it’s oysters and chilled wine on the terrace, a seafood feast with friends inside our beautiful, light-filled dining room, or a treat lunch filled with cocktails, The Salt Room is made for sharing great food with even better company.

The pale pink dip is swirled with pools of bright green herb oil, topped with orange trout roe, and decorated with two thin, edible crackers shaped like fish skeletons. It sits on a pinkish-beige marble table flanked by the edges of other side plates.

À La Carte Lunch Menu

Fresh. Refined. Ever Changing.

Our à la carte menu evolves with the seasons, shaped by what’s thriving right now – whether that’s native lobster in summer or wild game in winter. You’ll find everything from grilled whole fish and steak cooked over coal to seasonal vegetarian plates, seafood pasta and indulgent desserts.

This is our signature offering – flavour-driven, produce-led dishes, prepared with precision and served with a view.

On the bottom right, a colorful plate features the tuna tartare dish mixed with sliced strawberries, crushed nuts, a green herb oil, and dots of caviar. An empty side plate with a fork and a glass of rosé wine are also visible on the table.
