Our Summer line-up of new menus, cocktails and events
Boasting uninterrupted views of Brighton seafront and the iconic West Pier ruins, The Salt Room is a modern British seafood restaurant that celebrates cooking over coal perched on Brighton’s seafront.
This summer we have taken our values of sourcing local ingredients — concentrating on sustainability — to produce a new menu and cocktail list along with throwing the cities best Pride parade party.

Our New Menu
Specialists in grilled fish and meats, our new menu features the finest ingredients from local producers in Sussex and celebrates seafood roasted over coal.
Seafood is selected daily for freshness and we feature wild and naturally harvested fish. Our steaks include lake district Prime cuts that are aged for maximum tenderness and flavour. We also offer a range of sharing specials, as we all know that great food, is always better when shared and enjoyed with friends and family.
Join us on Sundays for our Reef & Beef for 2 people between 12pm and 4pm. 45-day dry-aged sirloin with king prawns served with garlic roast potatoes, sugar snap peas, and chimichurri
Our New Summer Cocktails
Many months ago, our talented Bar Manager, Asier, began working on our Summer cocktail change. The brief was to create simple, ingredient-led cocktails that combine the same quality and innovation that we apply to our food.
After much trial and error, and many tastings, Asier and the team have created a selection of eight signature cocktails – for you to enjoy on our sun-soaked terrace.
The menu includes the Watermelon Spritz, a long and refreshing cocktail that exudes the taste of summer, made with Aperol, prosecco, watermelon, vanilla, and lemon grapefruit. Another standout is the Hibiscus Paloma, a refreshing yet sharp mixture of tequila, mezcal, lemongrass, and pink grapefruit.
If you fancy knowing more about each drink, pull up a stool at the bar and let Asier and his team talk you through them.
Our Sun-soaked Terrace
Our summer terrace is now open seven days a week for lunch, dinner, and cocktails. Drop in for a quick bite or a leisurely meal and enjoy one of Brighton’s best seafront views.
Due to the unpredictability of the British summer, the terrace cannot be booked in advance. Simply request to be seated outside when you arrive.
Parties & Private Dining
The Salt Room is the ideal Brighton venue for parties, celebrations, and weddings. We can accomodate groups from 16 – 90 people.
On offer are two seasonal group dining menus, which gives guests the choice of individual courses or a more communal dining experience with sharing courses for the table. Bespoke menus and canapés are also available upon request.
