We’re feeling the first sparks of Christmas Magic in the air, and can’t wait to welcome you over our favourite season.
This year we’re hosting a Christmas Day Lunch, with a three-course a la carte menu, carefully crafted by our Head Chef.
Picture this; you’ve woken up on Christmas morning with a light dusting of snow outside, a weighted stocking on your feet, and the laugher of your family echoing throughout the house. After a lovely, bracing walk along the Brighton coastline, you all tumble into The Salt Room, with red faces and cold noses looking for a Christmas feast!
To warm your cockles, and celebrate the day you start with your pre-ordered Champagne, toasting a very ‘Merry Christmas.’ Your starter of White Crab Crumpet with Brown Crab Mayo, Fennel and Apple gives you a taste of the magic to come. For the main event, your eyes dance with happiness as the Dry Aged Fillet of Lake District Beef arrives with Mushroom, Confit Shallot and lashings of Red Wine Jus and lovingly served with a mountain of sharing sides for the table.
According to your family tradition, it would be sacrilege to order anything other than the Christmas Pudding for dessert. Served, of course, with Brandy Custard and a healthy dollop of vanilla ice cream. You admit to yourself quietly under your breath, it’s better than mums… and best of all – there’s no washing up!
